2AC has an active Scout Section with young people, usually aged between 10½ and 14 years.
Activities
Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme. Please take a look at some of the many things that 2AC Scouts get up to…

Participation rather than meeting set standards is the key approach, and for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or her achievements there are a number of Challenges awards and activity badges.
Scouting is about being with friends, as part of a team, and participating fully in the adventure and opportunities of life.
Scouts take part in a Balanced Programme that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit, and helps develop their creative talents. It also provides opportunities to explore their own values and personal attitudes.
Being outdoors is important. 2AC provides plenty of opportunities for young people to take part in traditional Scouting skills, such as camping and bivvying, survival and cooking, as well as a other adventurous activities from abseiling to sailing. The Scouts and Gladiator Explorers also take part in a 2-week greenfield camp at the beginning of the school summer holidays each year.
Community Activities
2AC Scouts play a very active part in the community: we run a Scout Xmas Post with some other local groups, hold two Jumble sales each year to raise funds and help recycle unwanted items, attend Church parades and hold a pensioners’ party.
Joining
2AC Scouts is run by Andrew and a strong leadership team, with the help of very supportive parents. Demand for places in the Group is high, so if you would like to join 2AC Scouts please make contact in plenty of time by sending a message via the Contact Us page.
